Maybe Ebay will buy Salesforce.com?

In recent months fierce competition in the on demand CRM marketplace amongst CRM software-as-a-service vendors such as Salesforce.com, Netsuite, Salesboom.com, RightNow and few more has been driving speculation.

The advent of CRM technology on demand took most traditional CRM vendors by storm and most players are still until this time, too late into the SaaS game.

Speculation have been that one of the larger vendors such as Oracle, SAP or even Microsoft will end up acquiring Salesforce.com. The savvy thinkers even predicted that Google will end up acquiring them.

What most haven't even thought about, is Ebay buying out Salesforce.com.

Ebay, is the largest marketplace of sellers and buyers in the world, and most small businesses already sell on ebay. I believe that most ebay customers are great candidates for a CRM purchase.

Only time will tell, but for a sure thing, Salesforce.com and Ebay are a great fit.
